The Wat Pho

The Wat Arun

Another historical and sacred place is the Wat Arun or often referred to as the Temple of the Dawn. According to history, survivors of the battles promised to march from sunset until sunrise and then, for a temple to build. This must be the reason why there is a long line of golden Buddha statues here. That signifies the survivors walking by. This temple also served as a private chapel of the royal family. But, if you would love to witness the amazing sunset, then try climbing up the temple for a great experience. And then, when you are up, you can have an overlook of the Chao Praya River.

The Giant Swing

Across the Wat Suthat is a Giant Swing. This site is actually busy because it is along the road. So, different types of transportation passes by. But, if you are just passing by, the Giant Swing will surely catch your attention because it stands to a height of 27m. They used to have a ceremony here after harvest time. And then, they have some competitions here, but stopped it later due to some accidents.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Going to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is one of the must not miss activities when you come for a tour in Bangkok. You will feel like you are in Venice.
